Prominent headman ‘fraud’ uncovered

ONDANGWA businessman and Okadhimeti village headman Petrus Shambo has been ordered to pay at least N$700 000 after Judge Thomas Masuku of the High Court found him and his company – Peali Construction and General Dealer CC – to have intentionally sought to defraud military employee Ester Nangolo in a botched house deal.
Nangolo had sued Shambo and his company after they failed to deliver a house that they had sold to her. Notwithstanding the deed of sale that was duly signed by the respondents in her lawsuit -Peali Construction and General Dealer CC and Shambo – they had failed to perform their obligations in terms of the deed of sale.
