Ras Sheehama promises exciting celebratory concert

A diverse range of local artists are set to adorn the stage, guaranteeing an exciting voyage through Ras Sheehama’s musical journey for music and art lovers.

The two-day event, pencilled for April 5-6, will offer a sneak preview of Sheehama’s live music expedition.

Party lovers can look forward to an astonishing two-day event in which imaginative, creative director and cinematographer Othilia Tutu Mungoba collaborates with musical curator Christian Polloni to deliver a visual documentation and musical grand spectacle titled Ras Sheehama: Three Decades of Sound.

From DJ Kboz’s innovative remixing skills to Big Ben’s soulful melodies and the electrifying performances of Sally Boss Madam and Exit Rockaz, an array of talents, including ML, Ethnix, Patrick Sikiliza, North Side Rabbi, Equipped Dance Academy, and Vocal Redemption, will set the stage ablaze.

Revealers can expect an immersive experience that includes dance, intriguing poetry, mesmerising music video inserts, and explosive live band performances of classic songs like Cassinga, Travelling, and Inotila, as well as modern hits like Polo Polo. It’s a musical encapsulation that visual and performing arts fans should not miss.

This joint masterwork, supported by the prestigious Friends of Ras Sheehama Trust, pays tribute to the remarkable career of Namibia’s beloved singer and entertainer, Sheehama, which spans three decades.
