Scrutiny mounts on ‘extortion and bribery’ tainted TN board member

WORKS and transport minister John Mutorwa this week piled more pressure on embattled TransNamib board member, Oscar Kaveru after he highlighted that dismissal proceedings could be initiated if allegations that Kaveru was in 2011 dismissed from Air Namibia for extortion, bribery and dishonesty are found to be true.

Mutorwa’s remarks come subsequent to public enterprises minister, Leon Jooste last week telling Confidente that he will open investigations against Kaveru after which “due guidance on how to rectify same” will follow.
