Sesriem community struggling without network

By Tracy Tafirenyika

Agroup of community members living in the Namib-Naukluft National Park at Sesriem and Sossusvlei in the Hardap region, have raised concern over the lack of network coverage in the area while stressing that they have not had a radio station nor a post office ever since independence.

In an interview with Confidente the residents said without a radio or television station, post or any other network reaching the area, residents are unable to familiarise themselves with what is happening around the country.

“We can’t even watch the news or listen to anything being updated on the radio because we have been shut out from the rest of the country.
