‘Sex for accommodation’ allege student nurses

SOME vulnerable student nurses who are currently deployed at the Windhoek Central Hospital for their studies are accusing an official responsible for offering the students accommodation of soliciting for sexual favours from them in exchange for rooms.

Although the management confirmed that the rooms are not permitted to be rented out, some students have exclusively told Confidente that they are still being rented out despite the Ministry of Health stating that they are not fit for purpose.

In an interview with Confidente, one of the alleged victims (name withheld) stated that one of the people responsible for the rooms asked her for N$500 per month and on top of that she alleges she was asked for sex.
