SOCIALITE Beata Siteketa, also known as Betty Davids has donated an amount ofN$60 000 to the Gender-based Violence Unit, to help women and children that are victims of GBV.

This comes after Siteketa, in March sued IPC spokesperson, Imms Nashinge for N$400 000 in a defamation claim which Nashinge allegedly referred to her as a “prostitute” in a remark he made in a WhatsApp group discussion.

Following her victory in her defamatory case, in which the court ordered Nashinge to pay N$60 000, Siteketa has now donated the money to gender-based violence victims.

In an interview with Confidente, Siteketa highlighted that she intended on donating the money to the Women and Child Protection Unit, to assist victims of GBV-related cases or to an organisation that has an overreaching mandate to protect vulnerable groups in society.
