Stateless, stranded for 29 years

TWENTY-NINE year old Estanislau Da Costa is at pains with his sad reality of being stateless and being a person with no identity after failing to get documentation from both Namibia and Angola, where he believes he qualifies for both due to his maternal and paternal background.
Da Costa, now a father of three, was born to a Namibian mother in Ruacana and Angolan immigrant father; but today he is one of the stateless cases in Namibia rendering him ineligible to enrol for school or access any government or other vital services.
