Taxi drivers come together in fight against GBV

FOLLOWING the murder of a 27-year-old woman known as Yambeko who was allegedly decapitated by her ex-boyfriend on Sunday evening in Ohakadu Village in the Omusati region, taxi drivers have initiated a collective movement to curb violence against women in the country.

In an interview with Confidente, Teofilus Jolonimu who claims to have attended school with the ‘alleged killer’ said the movement already kicked off with a WhatsApp group where more than 40 taxi drivers from across the country communicate on a daily basis.
