Tennis prodigy Bezuidenhout talks about King Cup Africa

SENSATION Prodigy tennis player Joanivia Bezuidenhout is heading to Kenya with her three peers next week to compete in the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup Africa Group III
Bezuidenhout, a grade 9 learner doing online schooling, will represent the country with Lesedi Jacobs, Megan Lombardt and Leandre Louw as the four players from Namibia at the tournament hosted in Nairobi, Kenya.
Speaking to Confidente before departing for Nairobi, Bezuidenhout stated that she is very confident about team Namibia’s chances at the tournament.

This is not the first time Namibia will participate in the Billie Jean King Cup Africa. The country has participated in the tournament in the past ten years, with Namibia’s last participation last year in Kenya, which hosted the event last year. Bezuidenhout was also part of that team.

“I am so honoured that I am again chosen to represent Namibia at the Billie Jean King Cup. I am way more confident than last time; although I am a little nervous, I feel super excited, and this time, I think that my tennis has improved a lot since the last time I played in Kenya.
