THE 2022 edition of the Express Credit Summer Futsal League started last weekend with the first round of matches, while the second round is this weekend.

Over 950 players, including female teams, will be battling it out for top honours at the end of the season.

The league consists of the premier division, first division, boys U-17 division, female first division and female U-17 division.

Founder of Namibia Futsal League, Andrei Tirtirau, was impressed by the commitment of the teams.

“The first matches were very good, even though for some teams it is their first time to play in the league. Some teams were not much prepared as there were some issues that some teams were struggling like getting their playing kits but they managed to make a plan.

“ Some were struggling to complete their team returns. But it is always like that in the beginning. The female teams were really fantastic and their teams were on time and the atmosphere at the games were really good,” Tirtirau told Confidente.
