There is no bad blood between IPC and I: Kandenge

By Allexer Namundjembo

Sacky Kandenge, former Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) executive member in the Kharas region, said there is no bad blood between him and the party he once attempted to lead.

Kandenge, who challenged the IPC leader at the 2022 National Council of Patriots for the party’s top position, said his resignation from the IPC did not cause any insufficient bond.

Kandenge said his resignation from the IPC is to pursue other political ambitions and associations, as Article 17 of the Constitution provides.

‘’I willingly resigned from the IPC because I saw that the party is not different from Swapo, in terms of executive duties,’’ he said.

Kandenge, who later formed Team Progress Namibia (TPNA), said his association will back independent candidate Ally Angula in the coming presidential elections but will contest for National Assembly.

‘’We will not participate in this year’s presidential elections because we support Ally Angula as president. We will, however, take part in National Assembly elections,’’ Kandenge said.

Kandenge added that they would campaign for the National Assembly as an affiliate of Kennedy Iilonga’s National Empowerment Fighting Corruption (NEFC), registered as a political party.
