Three drownings reported in Omusati

THREE people died over the Easter weekend in separate incidents in the Omusati region.

On Saturday, at Iihamayongwe village, Hilifavali Gideon Fudeni an adult Namibian male from Enongolya Malakia village in Otamanzi constituency was found dead in a water pan. He was last seen on Thursday night at the Omvulaniiloke village.

According to Omusati regional crime coordinator deputy commissioner Moses Simaho, Fudeni was found floating on top of the pan by a child looking after goats. His body was transported to the Okahao police mortuary for a post mortem examination. No foul play is suspected and his next of kin have been informed while police investigations on the incident are underway.
