THE Debmarine Premiership looks set to be determined on the final day of the season, with three teams, Khomas NamPol, African Stars, and Ongos FC, vying for league honours.

NamPol, the league’s freshly promoted side, leads the log with 41 points from 19 games, Stars, the reigning champions, are second with 40 points from 19 games, and Ongos FC, formerly Tura Magic, is third with 39 points from 18 matches, and have fun in hand.

NamPol had a chance to extend their lead at the top but fell short, having lost 3-2 to Mighty Gunners on Saturday before drawing 0-0 with Eeshoke Chula Chula, while Stars, who were leading the log last Friday after a 2-0 win over Life Fighters, were defeated 2-0 by UNAM.

NamPol could become the first promoted team to win the top division league in its first season, while Ongos FC may become champions with its new name.
