Titus lands Global Forum for Media Development chair

NAMIBIA Media Trust (NMT) director Zoé Titus has been elected chairperson of the Global Forum for Media Development (GFMD), during GFMD’s general assembly which was held in Albania, on September 30.

Titus will be the first African woman to head the GFMD executive committee and will do so for the next four years.

The GFMD is a prestigious international network of journalism support and media development organisations intent on securing a sustainable future for journalism as a public good.

Titus’ appointment is both a great honour and acknowledgement of her consummate commitment to promoting media freedom, free expression and a conducive environment for the operation of media in Namibia and globally.
