HIGH-RANKING police officer, Deputy Commissioner Peter Nghifikwa has allegedly evaded an eviction order issued against him two years ago to vacate a 5000-hectare farm he currently occupies and now the Messenger of Court who has also been accused of being reluctant to evict him faces contempt of court charges, Confidente can reveal.

Confidente has been reliably informed that a notice for interim interdict also known as a rule nisi application against the Messenger of Court for Rundu, Gunther von Francois in terms of which the said court is requested to compel him to eject Nghifikwa with immediate effect is scheduled to be heard on February 7 at Rundu Magistrates’ Court.

Confidente understands that the court awarded the farm to Helena Nekome-Mandevhu who since 2008 has been in a long term battle to regain her farm. This is Farm no. 1282, Chari Cutline located in the Mpungu Constituency in the Kavango West region under Uukwangali Traditional Authority.
