Torment of a businessman on the jaws of DBN

AN eleventh hour intervention by the Black Business Leadership Network of Namibia (BBLNN) may have derailed the sale of assets belonging to Ochsenwagen Hotel in Rehoboth but the owner, 62-year-old Anthony Mouton says he is still reeling from the effects of false hope he received from his creditor, the Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) and the rampant lack of leniency from the bank.

Being in the tourism sector, an industry that has been most affected by the implications of Covid-19 and the ongoing recession, Mouton says that his pleas for relief in order to save at least 25 jobs at his hotel have fallen on deaf ears.

Ochsenwagen Hotel has been in operation for nearly 10 years.
