Tourism Talk Fosters Collaboration and Innovation in Namibia’s Tourism Sector

FNB Head of Enterprise Banking Connie-Marlene underscored the significance of tourism to Namibia’s economy, stating that tourism is the fastest-growing economic sector in the country, employing over 100,000 Namibians, particularly from rural areas.
Marlene highlighted this in her opening remarks at a tourism talk hosted by FNB Commercial. The event, held under the theme ‘Shaping Namibia’s Tourism Future, Together’, fostered collaboration and explored opportunities to propel the country’s tourism landscape forward.
Marlene pointed out that in 2023, international, regional, and domestic flight passenger numbers surged to their highest levels since 2019, indicating a promising recovery in travel.
