Treasury, Kanime trash Job’s N$200m corruption claim

The faceless report which Windhoek Mayor Dr. Job Amupanda used to level corruption allegations against the defence ministry has been dismissed as false and ill-conceived

FORMER manager of August 26 Textiles Shafa Kanime has rubbished claims of corruption in an unsigned report used by Windhoek mayor Job Amupanda, to accuse the defence minister of unprocedurally transferring N$200 million from the ministry to August 26 for personal gain. Kanime -who is quoted in the unsigned report which is not addressed to anyone and has a ghost author- told Confidente that the report lacked truth as he had never uttered the words that were attributed to him in the dossier.
