Tribal purge feared at Gobabis

A recent spate of suspension of top executives at Gobabis municipality- all Oshiwambo speaking- has raised fears of a tribal purge where the relationships between managers, the acting chief executive officer and the workers union are alleged to be viciously strained.
Fingered at the centre of the perceived purge is the recently appointed acting chief executive officer, Steven Adonis who last week suspended three top managers- technical services manager Johannes Nantuua, corporate services and human resource manager Ashipala Shilemba, and IT and procurement manager Fillemon Makili.
