Trustco calls out !Gawaxab

TRUSTCO Group Holdings spokesperson Neville Basson says the company’s pursuit of truth and justice in the Trustco Bank license suspension includes a pending High Court application for Bank of Namibia (BoN) Governor Johannes !Gawaxab to appear and testify under oath about the Trustco Bank scandal.

Basson pointed out that !Gawaxab has a pending contempt of court application together with other high-level BoN members of the management team.

“This shows the gravity of the problem, as do other financial services industry members. We are deeply concerned about BoN’s history of disobeying High Court orders. The CBI Exchange case reminds them of their attitude toward the rule of law.
