UNAM, ex-tenant drag battle to court

THE University Of Namibia (UNAM) has dragged RIXI Investments to court for allegedly failing to settle rentals, utilities and other commitments to the sum of N$305 658,80.

According to court documents, RIXI Investments cc leased at the UNAM main campus a student cafeteria known as ‘The Grub’.

The lease commenced on January 1 2013 for a period of a year subject to a two-year extension therein after RIXI allegedly failed to settle rent and other commitments, and subsequently vacated the premises in September 2016.
