Uproar over planned contraband auction

MANY people in the north are up in arms against the planned auctioning of items that were confiscated from members of the public after they brought them in the country from neighbouring Angola. 

The items include alcoholic beverages, cigarettes boxes, foodstuffs, counterfeit branded clothes, fuel and many more. The Namibian police often confiscates wares suspected to be smuggled into the country from Angola and keep them in warehouses at border posts.
