Victims of road accidents share traumatic experience

ACCORDING to the World Health Organisation (WHO) Namibia is ranked first in the world in terms of the number of road deaths per 100 000 residents.

Speaking to Confidente recently, three victims of road accidents shared their traumatic experience, while calling for road safety this festive season.

Tanja Cloete (34) a switchboard operator at Motor Vehicle Fund for the past five years, stated that she was one day shocked to wake up and be told that she was never going to walk again. She was only 21 at the time.

“I just want to share my life story on how l ended up in a wheelchair. l was not born this way. At 21 years just to wake up and be told that you will never be able to walk again that was very disturbing.
