Water woes persist in Eengodi

BY MARX ITAMALO

RESIDENTS of villages in rural Eengodi constituency in Oshikoto are facing an acute shortage of water which makes it even hard for some of them to take their life saving medication. This is according to Eengodi regional councillor Protasius Neshuku.
Neshuku spoke to Confidente this week about the challenges his constituency is facing.
“As we speak now, there are many people in villages who do not have water because the pipe from Omuthiya to our constituency has got low pressure and the water does not reach here most of the time. Furthermore, we do not have many boreholes in our constituency and people from areas without boreholes travel long distances to obtain water,” the councillor told Confidente.
