We can beat cancer together – Pack

• By Andre Tino

Bank Windhoek Executive Officer for Marketing and Corporate Communication Services, Jacquiline Pack said cancer is beatable through the Bank’s Cancer Apple Project which she labelled a cornerstone of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.

Bank Windhoek Cancer Apple Project, a program meant to help the Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN), has raised N$ 31.

9 million since 2000.

“As a connector of positive change, this project is close to our hearts and is one of the biggest and most recognised fundraising efforts in Namibia,” said Pack.

Launched under the theme, ‘#GiveHope,’ the Project encourages contributors to visit Bank Windoek’s e-Apple Platform where donors have the option to purchase physical or virtual apples and apple juice.

Park said all funds raised from the Project will be donated to CAN later this year.

“We have developed an extensive campaign to ensure that the Project’s message of hope reaches as many people as possible.

The aim is to raise cancer awareness and reinforce the call to action by CAN for people to get screened so they can get treatment should they need it,” she said.

Being a connector of positive change, Bank Windhoek and #39’s efforts over the last twenty-two years have seen the Cancer Association of Namibia reach out to communities who would otherwise not have access to screening and early detection for cancer.
