Bantwan captures imagination with ‘Miyoyo’ video

That’s how many music fans have described Afro-pop musician Blacky Bantwan’s – real name Frans Haingura – recently released music video ‘Miyoyo’, serving as a taste of what his second album will sound like.

The video has elicited 4 300 views and over 100 comments on YouTube in one month.

The 26-year-old rose to prominence after releasing ‘Addicted’, a song featuring multi-talented musician Top Cheri, and has since received widespread recognition.

The title ‘Miyoyo’ is derived from the name of a person who stole his father’s lemons and came showing off to others until they noticed that they were stolen lemons and began making fun of him. It’s in the Bantu tongue Gciriku and is a popular song sung and danced to during
