Words from coaches in the Namibia Rugby Premier League
• By Michael Uugwanga
Although only seven matches have been played in the 2024 Namibia Rugby Premier League (NRPL), the battle for supremacy continues.
Some teams already show a champion mentality, while others are playing for playoff positions and fighting for survival.
UNAM Rugby Club is topping the log with 37 points from seven matches played, followed by Wanderers with 33 points, Kudus in third place with 25, Grootfontein with 23 points in fourth place, Reho Falcon in fifth with 20 points, Trustco United with 15 points in sixth place, Rehoboth Club with 14 points in seventh position, Western Suburbs with seven points in eighth place, and bottom club Dolphin with no points from eight matches played.
UNAM’s assistant coach, Roger Thompson, is very happy with his side’s performance so far this season and wants his team to continue with the same mentality in the second round of matches.
