Works ministry, NABTA at loggerheads over tariff guide

THE Ministry of Works and Transport will drag the Namibian Bus and Taxi Association (NABTA) to the police for allegedly forging the ministry’s logo to increase the bus fare between Windhoek and the North with 9.6 percent increment without the government’s permission, Confidente has learnt.   

NABTA secretary general Pendapala Nakathingo has been selling tariff guides to drivers for N$100 with the new prices that he allegedly increased for the Northern regions drivers by an amount of N$100.

Speaking to Confidente this week, Ministry of Works and Transport spokesperson Julius Ngwedha stated that they will take action against this act labelling it illegal.
