The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) corruption scandal took a dramatic turn yesterday, with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) formally charging 13 individuals.
Among those appearing in court was former Namcor Managing Director Immanuel Mulunga, marking a critical juncture in an investigation that continues to unravel alleged deep-seated irregularities and financial malfeasance within the state-owned oil company.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has reaffirmed Namibia’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations with India, highlighting strategic cooperation including the opportunities that exists within the green hydrogen, oil and gas sectors.

Super featherweight boxer Flame ‘Special One’ Nangolo says very soon he will make history by becoming the first Namibian to defeat an American boxer on United States soil.
Nangolo is currently in Las Vegas, as part of his preparations ahead of his World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa Super Featherweight title defence in August. His opponent is yet to be confirmed.

Young Namibians living in rural areas have raised concern over their exclusion from developmental activities spearheaded by both the public and private sector.
This was revealed at a recent screening of a documentary, ‘From the ground up’, hosted by the embassy of the United States.
At the screening, RuralRise Community Empowerment, an initiative which directly confronts the historical exclusion of rural youth from national decision-making and development processes, used the opportunity to paint the status quo.
