Sunshine Private College is set to host its 6th graduation ceremony under the theme ‘Education First’ at St Mary’s Cathedral Parish Church Hall in Windhoek, marking yet another turning point in its commitment to shaping the future of education in Namibia. The prestigious event will be graced by Professor. Becky Kapitire Ndjoze-Ojo as the guest of honour. Prof. Ndioze-Ojo is a former member of parliament and has acquired various degrees in Education. Established in 2019 by founders Professor Jairos Kangira and Nomakando Kangira, Sunshine Private College has rapidly emerged as a leading institution in the field of education, having welcomed its first intake of students in 2020, which culminated into its inaugural graduation in 2021. “Since then, it has remained steadfast in its mission to equip students with world-class skills, knowledge, and real-world experiences,” the college revealed via a statement this week in the run-up to its next graduation. According to the statement, the college is fully accredited by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA), registered with the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE), and prides itself for serving the students with an engaging and stimulating academic environment. A Growing Academic Portfolio “With a focus on excellence in education, Sunshine Private College offers a range of programmes
catering to aspiring educators and professionals. The college provides
both full-time face-to-face instruction and block release/distance learning options to accommodate diverse student needs,” the college’s communique reads, further
stressing that, ‘among the programmes offered are Bachelor of Education Honours in Junior Primary (Level 8), Bachelor of Education Honours in Senior Primary (Level 8), Postgraduate Diploma in Education Secondary (Level 8), and Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Junior Primary Education (Level 6).’ Also, in response to growing demand, the institution has expanded its offerings with new programmes, including: Bachelor of Education Honours in Languages Secondary (Level 8), Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Psychology (Level 8), Certificate in Interactive Media Design and Web Development (Level 4), Diploma in Interactive Media and Web Development (Level 5), National Certificate in Horticulture and
Crop Husbandry (Level 2). Commitment to Quality Since its official opening in 2021,
according to the college communique, Sunshine Private College has played a vital role in training education professionals, with an innovative curriculum and teaching methodologies that ensure graduates are well-equipped with cutting-edge techniques, skills, attributes,

Additionally, Sunshine Private College will be transitioning into an applied university in the future. They had internal and external meetings with stakeholders and are in the process of submitting to NQA for them to qualify as a university. The College will have its next intake in August 2025.
