N$257m youth fund boost on cue

The National Youth Fund which was duly capitalised to the tune of N$257 million recently, will line up its next batch of young entrepreneurs who are set to benefit from the government initiative during the first week of August 2025. This revelation was made by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, during her recent presentation of her administration’s achievements in its first 100 days.

Retired Navy officer Bamba Sinsy Nghipandua is said to have been quietly appointed as the new director general of the Namibian Central Intelligence Service (NCIS) this week.
The low-profile appointment follows recents speculation reported in July that Nghipandua was being considered to take over the top post at the country’s intelligence institution. 

Phiri shares Debmarine debut

KK Palace FC head coach Anderson Phiri, who hails from Zambia, says leading the club in the Debmarine Premiership was his first time to coach in a league that plays double headers. 
Phiri joined KK Palace FC last season and managed to help the club finish above top teams such as Blue Waters, and Tigers in the table.
